Just as you come into Compton, Arkansas from the north, turn onto the dirt road opposite the fire station to get to Paige Falls in Broadwater Hollow. It is a bit of a drive down this road and it can be a bit rough, but I promise, you will not regret it. The falls start just beside the road. As you explore, it will draw you in and tease you with views of more falls and pools and places to climb down and explore more. The trail is well travelled and takes you up and down and rewards you with spectacular views and the ability to get up close and personal with the falls. There is also a cave opening that you can see down into. The caves in that area are closed due to White Nose Syndrome at this time. Many people just hike to the last section of the falls and that is great. However, if you are interested in a longer hike or even backpacking, this trail meets up with the Cecil Cove Loop Trail on the Buffalo. And, that is also a great trail for day hiking or an overnight backpacking trip.
